introduction
What is blood-derived stem cell therapy?
Stem cell therapy has moved well beyond the laboratory. Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) reside in your bone marrow and can be mobilised into the bloodstream for collection. Because these cells come from your own body, they carry no rejection risk and no compatibility concerns associated with donor treatments.
View Skin Clinic holds a government-designated Advanced Regenerative Medicine facility licence, operating fully within Korea’s Ministry of Health and Welfare regulatory framework. Blood-derived stem cell therapy Korea patients trust is now available at our Seoul clinic.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE
How blood stem cells are collected
The collection process is straightforward and minimally invasive. Depending on your treatment plan, stem cells are harvested using one of two methods.
Peripheral blood draw with mobilisation : A short course of G-CSF medication encourages HSCs to migrate from the bone marrow into the peripheral bloodstream. Once cell counts reach the optimal level — typically within four to five days — a standard blood draw is performed. No surgery, no sedation, no hospital stay.
Apheresis : For protocols requiring a higher cell yield, blood is drawn from a vein, passed through a separator that isolates stem cells, and the remaining blood is returned to the body in the same session. The procedure takes two to four hours and is performed in our certified medical environment.
Quality assured
Laboratory processing
After collection, your sample is transferred directly to our certified clean-room processing suite. Raw blood contains a mix of cell types, and therapeutic application requires careful concentration and quality verification.
Centrifugation & Separation
Mononuclear cell fraction containing HSCs and progenitor cells is isolated from plasma and red cells.
Flow Cytometry
Cell count and viability confirmed. Preparations below minimum therapeutic threshold are not released.
Sterility Testing
Mononuclear cell fraction containing HSCs and progenitor cells is isolated from plasma and red cells.
Cryopreservation (if indicated)
Optional storage in liquid nitrogen for staged protocols. Viability maintained above 90% under standard conditions.
Regulatory Note Korea’s Ministry of Health and Welfare requires that facilities handling autologous stem cell preparations hold a designated Advanced Regenerative Medicine facility licence. View holds all required certifications and welcomes requests to review documentation.
CLINICAL APPLICATIONS
What can blood-derived stem cells treat?
HSCs and the growth factors they secrete have demonstrated utility across several clinical areas. At View Skin Clinic, blood-derived stem cell therapy is offered for the following indications.
01
Immune System Support
Intravenous infusion of autologous stem cell preparations is explored in patients with immune dysregulation or chronic fatigue presentations. Conducted under strict clinical monitoring and subject to individual eligibility assessment.

02
Skin Rejuvenation
Paracrine signaling from stem cells stimulates local fibroblast activity, supporting collagen synthesis and improving skin texture, tone, and fine line appearance. Results develop gradually over four to twelve weeks post-treatment.
03
Scalp & Hair
Growth factors such as VEGF and HGF, present in stem cell preparations, have been associated with improved follicle micro-circulation — a complementary option for patients experiencing diffuse hair thinning.

04
Systemic Anti-Aging
As part of a broader preventive medicine programme, IV stem cell infusion aims to support cellular repair mechanisms that naturally decline with age. A supportive intervention — not a cure for age-related disease.

Medical History Review
Mononuclear cell fraction containing HSCs and progenitor cells is isolated from plasma and red cells.
Baseline Blood Panel
CBC, liver/kidney function, infection markers, HSC mobilisation suitability confirmed.
Photographic Baseline
Standardised photography of the treatment area for outcome tracking.
Protocol Design
Personalised treatment plan drafted including collection method and administration route.
Note Active autoimmune disease, recent malignancy, or active systemic infection may affect eligibility. Your physician will advise during this session.
2
Stem cell mobilisation
In-clinic · 60 min
A short course of G-CSF injections encourages hematopoietic stem cells to migrate from the bone marrow into the bloodstream. Self-administered at home or nurse-assisted at the clinic.
Injection Schedule
Mononuclear cell fraction containing HSCs and progenitor cells is isolated from plasma and red cells.
Expected Side Effects
Mild bone ache, low-grade fever, or fatigue typically resolves within 1–2 days of completing the course.
Apheresis Patients Mobilisation may be adjusted or omitted depending on your target cell yield. Your physician will confirm during step 1.
3
Cell collection
In-clinic · 30 min – 4 hrs
Collection takes place at View Skin Clinic under clinical supervision. Two methods are available depending on your protocol and required cell yield.
Peripheral Blood Draw
Mononuclear cell fraction containing HSCs and progenitor cells is isolated from plasma and red cells.
Apheresis
Blood drawn, stem cells separated, remaining blood returned in the same session. 2–4 hours.
Comfort Both methods are well-tolerated. You may eat and drink normally beforehand. Most patients return to normal activity the same day.

EVIDENCE – BASED
Safety & results
Autologous therapy — using your own cells — removes the primary risks associated with donor stem cell treatments: immune rejection, graft-versus-host response, and disease transmission from a third party.
Reported adverse effects in autologous HSC applications are generally mild and transient. Serious adverse events are rare. As with any medical procedure, individual response varies, and View Skin Clinic does not make outcome guarantees.
Patients considering blood-derived stem cell therapy Korea practitioners offer should always verify that their provider holds the appropriate government designation. View holds all required certifications and welcomes requests to review documentation.
common side effects
- Injection-site redness or swelling — resolves within 24–72 hours
- Temporary fatigue following collection
- Mild flu-like symptoms during G-CSF mobilisation phase
- Mild arm fatigue or light-headedness during apheresis (resolves immediately)
Clinical Note Published peer-reviewed data on autologous stem cell applications for aesthetic and anti-aging indications is growing but remains an evolving evidence base. Your physician will present relevant literature and realistic expectations during your consultation.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as a stem cell IV drip I've seen advertised online?
No. Many marketed “stem cell drips” contain exosomes or conditioned media, not live autologous cells. View uses cells isolated directly from your blood under certified laboratory conditions — a regulated medical procedure, not a wellness supplement.
How many sessions will I need?
Most protocols involve 1–3 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart, followed by a maintenance review at 3 months.
Is the G-CSF mobilisation injection safe?
G-CSF (filgrastim) has been used in haematology for over 30 years with a well-characterised safety profile. Side effects are typically mild and short-lived.
How is this different from PRP?
PRP isolates platelets and growth factors but does not concentrate stem cells. The two therapies are complementary and sometimes used together.
Can I combine this with other treatments at View?
Yes, in many cases. Combination protocols are designed case-by-case during your consultation, with sequencing and safety taken into account.
